Digitizing of Artwork
Digitizing is the art of converting a picture or image into stitches by using specialized software and must be done to prepare the garment for embroidery. We prefer designs to be sent as vector files in formats CDR, AI, EPS or Bitmap files are also accepted (JPG, BMP, GIF or TIF).

Changes in the artwork may be neccessary for the embroidery to look clean. Lettering that is too small or excessive details on paper may not translate into a well embroidered design. After the design is digitized, a test sample is sewn prior to being placed on a garment.

Art Services
Art services available at $65/hour. We are proficient at Corel Draw, Corel Photo-Paint, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe PhotoShop.

Set-Up
Additional costs may incur such as re-sizing from a left chest design to using the design for a cap.

Limitations of Embroidery

Size Limitations
It is advised to make a left chest design no larger than 4 inches wide as the design will fall into the armpit.
Letters cannot be embroidered less than 3/16th of an inch. Lower case letter can be changed into uppercase
Ways to change design dimensions include:

Change Lower case lettering into uppercase.
Eliminate some of the letters or place the letters on 2 or more lines.
Arc the lettering around the logo.

Embroidery Pricing

Digitization
Pricing is based both on the complexity and stitch count and is a one time charge. A typical left chest logo is approximately 5,000 stitches and ranges between $50 and $150. Corrections will be made at no charge as long as the sample is not sewn or the design is not altered. Additional costs will incur if a change in the design is made after the sample is sewn or if the dimensions of the design are changed drastically.

Basic Design
Stitching of a basic design under 5,000 stitches, six colors or less and in one location sewn with regular polyester thread is included in the price of the garment.

Extra Charges
High stitch count - Any design with over 5,000 stitches in the design will be charged an additional amount based on 1,000 stitch increments over 5,000 stitches and is based on the total of garments being embroidered. (1.50 to .75 per thousand) (Will quote large stitch counts and quan

Special Thread - Special colors that need to be ordered for particular small jobs and metallic thread which causes difficulty will be charged extra.

Multiple Locations - A minimum of $2.50 will be charged to embroider in more than one location and will include up to 3,000 stitches.

More than 6 colors - If a design has more than 6 color changes. Each additional color change will be charged $0.10 (10 cents) as the design will take longer to embroider.

Embroidery Only

For embroidery sold separate from garment, a chart will be used to determine the embroidery charges. A $6.00 minimum is required.
